After a school supply shopping trip that resulted in my buying several packs of tissues, I made a tissue case with a side opening that looks like a zombie (some think a monster) and I decided to make one with a top opening that matches. Kind of fun and if you would like one too, follow along.

Picture
Grab some scrap worsted weight yarn and a H hook. Start with a foundation chain as long as your tissue plus 1, sc in the 2nd chain from hook and sc in each chain across, 2 sc in the end and sc even across the other side of the chain to the beginning stitch.

Repeat this row once more then sc even around until as tall as your tissue. Switch to hair color and sc around two more rows. Voila.

You can see the ridge in the back because I crochet in the round without joining. If you join at the last stitch and chain one to go up a row you will not have the obvious change in color like I do.

Picture
Make 2 of each:

red or black (inner eye color). chain 2, 4 sc in 1st chain, finish off leave long tail for sewing.

white (outer eye color), ch 2, 6 sc in 1st chain, 2 sc in each around, finish off with long tail.  Sew the eyes on.

I couldn't figure out a mouth, I am looking for suggestions, please share with us your best ideas!
