Mom wanted a bag to put her soap in to wash but made out of wool. I dug through my stash and found a nice wool sock yarn. It is one of those that makes a pattern if you crochet in the round but I couldn't get the images to line up so I just made it spotted instead. This little baggie would work with any sock weight yarn but cotton or wool would probably be best.

Scrap of wool sock yarn and F hook
Row 1: Chain across slightly shorter than the bar of soap you are going to put inside.
Round 2: Sc even across, 2 sc in the end, sc back across to the beginning
Round 3: 2 sc in first stitch, sc all the way across, 3 sc in the last stitch, even across to the beginning.
Round 4 - XX (21 for me): Sc even around two rows higher than the bar of soap.

Picture
Tie and edging: (I am starting the count over as the previous set was XX, but do not end, just continue)
Round 1: Dc Even around
Round 2-3: sc even around
Round 4: 4ch, skip 3 stitches, 1 trc in next st, 3 ch, 4 dc around stem of tr just worked. rep around ss the last together. Use and enjoy!

If you use regular wool it will felt into a solid cloth. Superwash wool will not felt and will hold its stitches. Have fun and try different colors and patterns.

These little bags mean no more little soap scraps laying around!

Keep clean this week and thanks for reading, Kristina

Such a cute and clever way to gather up and save those small pieces of soap. Thanks for sharing them with SYC.
