The other day we were looking at our cloth scraps and decided to try some wall art. In our search we found a piece that had two giraffes nose to nose over some palm trees - Meet Me at the Oasis was born!
We added some other scraps with a tropical or jungle kind of feel, we cut out some assorted creatures and found a cool piece of scrap for the backdrop (it even already had the wide hem to slide a rod into!).

We laid out the pattern we wanted then carefully sewed around the edges of the bigger pieces with some golden thread.
It was a bit awkward with lots of starts and stops but doesn't it look good!
The smaller pieces were so awkward, Kristina decided to try her hand at glueing. Worked good and done quick!

Here is our finished wall hanging. It is like the perfect novel - it has romance, danger and a tropical location. What more could you ask for?
Hope you go out and create your own wall hanging! Have fun today and thanks for reading!
