Time for the second item in "the box" I received from Influenster: The Dr. Scholl's for Her.
Let me preface with: I already have a pair of Dr. Scholl's inserts. They were the super fancy, 'stand on the scale and it tells you which ones you need' inserts; however, they are in my tennis shoes. My problem being, I wear dress shoes to work, weird I know. Well, the regular Dr. Scholl's don't seem to fit well in dress shoes, well the "For Her" inserts solves this problem.
So it says it fits size 6 to 10. How? I think to myself as I have always cut them to fit. Well genius me lines up the inserts where I think they should go, kind of centered so the arch is "right" and put them on. Needless to say they were super uncomfortable. My heel was half on half off and the fit was not right. I decided I should maybe read the directions.... Well directions say to place all the way back against the back of the heel of the shoe... common sense right? Duh me.
So I fix the insert, try again, wiggle my feet a bit, there is a line along the front of my foot, I'm not too sure about that but decide to give it the day. I work at Home Depot (why dress shoes? I wear a skirt too, go figure) so I am on my feet a lot.
So my report at the end of the day:
Pros: I got used where the insert ended and didn't even feel it anymore after a short time. My heels in particular feel much less pain (that is where the machine says I put all the pressure when I stand). Even my ankles feel better, weird.
Cons: My feet felt sweaty, I wear panty hose but the slippery surface of the inserts seemed to make my feet sweat, or just made me more aware of it, not sure. My heels are up higher in the shoe, so I felt like I was going to step out of my shoe any time, but I think that is something you can get used to. If you want an insert to help with pain in the ball of your foot, these inserts won't help you much, as they do not extend to the toes.
All in all I think they were great and in 6 months when these wear out I will be buying another pair, well worth it. After just one day my feet already felt the difference.
Thank you, Dr. Scholl! Step lightly today :)
Thanks for reading, Kristina
