Great post! Have you tried crocheting with jeans? I haven't tried it you but I think it can be done. You can make jean yarn (http://contentemeant.blogspot.com/2013/04/recycled-yarns-part-3-how-to-make-yarn.html)

Millie, blue jeans are so versatile. My cousin made me a cute apron our of a pair and years ago I made a rag quilt for my daughter to take to her soccer games out of soccer themed flannel prints and blue jeans. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
